Whether you want to record a concert for a live CD or DVD, or require audio ENG support for your next video or film project, AVN Pro can supply a scalable digital recording studio on location to accommodate. From 8 to 56 tracks, all our systems are ready for the road in ATA flight packs and include transformer isolated microphone splits, studio quality microphone kits, and expert on site engineers. This scalable system is the core of a flexible and fully mobile recording studio. Esoteric and tube mic pre amps, studio reference monitoring system, and high-end A/D converters are also available when the budget allows.
We have several recording formats including DTRS and direct to hard drive systems. Recordings can be 16 bit or 24 bit resolution with sample rates up to 96 Khz. Contact us to discuss which format is right for you.
Our digital tape recording system(DTRS) format uses 24 bit Tascam DA-78HR(and/or Tascam DA-88) multi track recorders along with a high quality mixing such as an Allen&Heath ML5000, Midas Venis Console or a Mackie 8 Buss.
Compact yet powerful systems include of a G4 PowerBook (or G4 Dual 800 Desktop), multiple MOTU 896HD 24bit/192k interfaces and FireWire drives. up to 32 tracks can be recorded via a laptop. No Recording Console needed.
We now have systems available with Mackie's new Onyx 1640 Mixer with Firewire option. Up to 32 tracks. These systems sound amazing due to Mackie's new Onyx pre amp technology.
For larger projects (32 or more tracks) and when budget permits, the best recording system utilizes both the 24 bit Tascam DA-78HR DTRS machines and a Macintosh Dual800 G4 (with 1 or more MOTU 2408 Mk3) DAW systems for instant digital backup via the TDIF connection. Recorded tracks can be easily transferred to DVD-ROM or to an external Firewire Drive immediately following the recording. This route saves money in the long run. Recorded tracks do not have to be transferred later in the studio for post production thus saving labor costs and studio rental time.
